NABCO Equips Marine Corps to Thwart 21st Century Threats
Seven Marine Corps stations equipped this year with new capabilities to counter chemical, biological and explosive threats
September 10, 2009 - Canonsburg, PA – NABCO, Inc. today announced that the United State Marine Corps has deployed NABCO Total Containment Vessels (TCVs) this year to support its mission to counter and contain chemical, biological and explosive threats. A total of seven NABCO containment vessels today equip units attached to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) group and the Chemical/Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) at Marine Corps stations nationwide.

The NABCO 42‐GT‐SCS TCV features a side‐loading, self‐closing door that provides maximum stand‐off for personnel; includes an on‐board backup power system and can fully contain a biological or chemical hazard within an improvised explosive device, even after detonation. The TCV also features a sampling system to identify hazardous agents and may be paired with a decontamination system. The system is also mobile‐ready and may be customized for transportation via air, truck, trailer or self‐propelled vehicle.
NABCO TCVs this year are equipping Marine Corps units and facilities in Maryland, California, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Marine Corps is among many military services and more than 20 countries around the world whose first responders rely on NABCO solutions to safeguard personnel, facilities, communities and the environment against the explosive and CBRN threats.
