March 16, 2011 - Canonsburg, PA – NABCO, Inc. today announced that its Total Containment Explosive Magazines have been added to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) federal supply list as approved security products.
“We are pleased to have the opportunity to serve our government and military customers through the GSA,” said NABCO CEO Frank Tobin. “The GSA listing will streamline the purchase of the solutions our customers need to safely and conveniently store their explosive tools and materials, and achieve optimum mission readiness.”
Now listed on GSA contract GS-07F-0307X, NABCO models SV-23, SV-50 and SV-80 Total Explosive Containment Magazines (TCEMs) are designed to meet rigorous quantity and distance storage requirements for explosives used by EOD personnel, special operations units and K-9 handlers across military and law enforcement agencies. NABCO solutions are approved by the Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board and rated for storage of up to 80 pounds of TNT. They integrate easily into existing security perimeters and can dramatically speed up response times.
Listing on the GSA schedule will allow federal, state and local agencies to more easily procure NABCO solutions. GSA schedules are open-ended contracts listing the prices the government has negotiated to pay for suppliers’ products and services. Vendors must pass through a robust review process in order to be approved for GSA listing, and agencies procuring NABCO products through the GSA schedule contract benefit from reduced acquisition timelines, pre-negotiated rates and terms, and a simplified alternative to traditional RFP and approval processes.
Hundreds of law enforcement and defense agencies around the world rely on NABCO solutions to safeguard personnel, facilities, communities and the environment against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats.
