Frank Tobin Appointed Chairman & CEO of NABCO, Inc.
Tobin brings defense industry leadership to CBRNE solutions provider; will focus on innovation and new partnerships to spur growth
March 31, 2009 - NABCO, Inc. today announced the appointment of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Frank Tobin, who will lead growth initiatives that build on the company’s 20‐year history as a trusted provider of CBRNE containment and disposal solutions for public safety, security and defense organizations in the U.S. and around the world.
“In an era when military and civilian personnel are confronted with a growing number of unconventional threats, whether in an area of operations or at an incident scene, the need for NABCO solutions has never been more urgent,” said Tobin. “NABCO has a strong history as a leading provider of containment solutions that protect communities and security personnel. Tobin joins NABCO from international electronics and systems provider Thales, Inc., where as Corporate Vice President he led successful growth initiatives – including teaming relationships, joint ventures and strategic alliances – for the company’s homeland security and defense businesses in the United States. Previously, Tobin was CEO of QualConGroup, a Virginia‐based company focused on homeland security information technology services for emergency management and public safety agencies. Prior appointments include senior management positions with Omaha‐based MFS Network Technologies, and Lockheed Martin. Tobin holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and a B.S. in engineering from the University of Florida.
