Issue Date: 3/27/1998
After a detonation inside the TCV, specifically any detonation of a
fragmenting device, the interior of the TCV should be visually inspected for
damage.
- After the TCV has been allowed to vent and cool off and after all required
evidence has been collected per department guidelines, the TCV should be
cleaned according to Section 4.2.
- Once clean, a visual inspection should be performed inside the TCV in an
effort to insure that there are no significant penetrations of the vessel
wall. Section C below identifies criteria to be used for determining whether a
penetration requires repair.
- On the NABCO Model 64-TCV, any penetration that exceeds 1/2' in depth may
require repair. Depth of penetration is to be determined by using a standard
micrometer or depth gauge. Indentation should be cleaned of blast residue
before measurement. Compressed air should be blown into indentation to clean.
If an indentation is found deeper than 1/2', immediately contact NABCO, Inc.
Do not repair damaged area without prior written consent of NABCO, Inc.
Failure to notify Nabco will void all warranties on the TCV for future use.

the damaged area.
- A written formal report will be issued to place the TCV back into
service after repair of any damage. The TCV is not to be used until NABCO;
Inc has issued this formal report.
- All repairs to the TCV will be done in accordance with approved
inspection and repair plans of NABCO, Inc.
- In addition to penetrations past the accepted depth, any indications of
cracks should be handled in the same method as described in Section C. Any
indication of cracks should be brought to the attention of NABCO, Inc.,
